A Letter From Our Pastor
Dear Members, Friends, Relatives, and Loved Ones,
It is with great honor that I welcome you to our website. A lot of work has been done to bring this website about, and for that, I am truly grateful.
Grace Baptist Church was established in 1966 with Pastor Norman Lytton presiding. A group of dedicated charter members saw a vision to broaden the work of the Lord by establishing an independent Baptist church with the missionary theme to operate separately from any association.
The first meeting place was Armstrong Union Chapel in Carter's Valley until the funds could be secured to purchase land to build a permanent building on Highway 346. The work began in the summer of 1967 and the basement was completed and ready for worship in the fall. The upper structure work began in 1974 and was completed and dedicated in 1982.
Pastor Lytton retired in 1985 and Pastor Emmitt Sexton pastored unti October 1988. I began pastoring in October 1988 and presided until 1994. Then, Jimmy Miller pastored until 1999, when the Lord called me back to the ministry, and I have been pastor since that time.
God has kept our doors open and has given us marvelous blessings here at Grace. May He bless you now and in the future, as well.
May God Bless you and keep you,
Donnie Anderson, Pastor
